A stabbing attack in the city of Haifa, a territory occupied by Israel, has resulted in the death of at least one Israeli settler. According to local media reports, the incident occurred at the central bus station in the city. In addition to the deceased, several others were reported injured, although the exact number has not been specified.

This attack has been interpreted as a reaction from the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas against the ongoing colonization by the Zionist regime in Palestinian lands.

The platform Al Mayadeen, citing an official statement from Hamas, describes the attack as a “heroic act” and a “legitimate response” to Israeli aggression in the West Bank and Jerusalem, as well as the persistent blockade on Gaza and plans to evict Palestinians from the Jordan Valley. The constant desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque is also mentioned.

Hamas emphasizes that its struggle will continue until the occupation is eliminated and an independent Palestinian state is established with its capital in East Jerusalem. In this context, the movement calls on residents of the West Bank, Jerusalem, and territories occupied since 1948 to intensify their confrontation with the enemy by all possible means, especially during Ramadan, which is regarded as a period of victories and resistance.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Jihad movement—a Sunni jihadist and Islamist group—points out that these incidents reflect Israel’s failure to ensure desired security. In this regard, it underscores that “all Israeli military campaigns aim for repression, punishment, and committing massacres.”

The situation remains tense in the region as both movements express their determination to continue their struggle against what they consider an unjust occupation.
